Our 2009 Race for Cyberspace Was A Huge Success!

Tierra Bonita Education Foundation hosted their annual jog-a-thon fundraiser, the 2009 Race for Cyberspace. It started in March with a Kick-Off Assembly led by Mr. E. He had the students screaming!

Race Day: TBEF and many, many staff and parent volunteers started really early in the morning and got the fields, water stations, DJ's place, and Prize Mall ready for action. Over 150 people came out to participate in each session. Mrs. Peranteau got everyone stretching and warming up. Students, teachers, and parents then made their way around the Cyberspace track to the tunes put out by DJ Hammy! The "Chair-iot" powered by the Dads Club was a sweet ride for students collecting the most donations in their grade level!

Prize Mall: The 2009 Prize Mall was stocked by generous TB families with enough prizes so that 1 out of every 5 students won a prize. (Those iPod Shuffles were very popular!)

Awards & Tix Assembly: Congratulations to all the individual students and classrooms who received running Awards & Tix. Congratulations also to Mrs. Koske's and Mrs. Weston's classes! These two classes raised the most donations and will get to enjoy a Carmel Mountain Ranch Oggi's pizza party provided by TB's own Haywood Family!
